Longhu Mountain · Cradle of Taoism, Stay Overnight

Birthplace of Zhengyi Taoism and a UNESCO World Natural Heritage (Danxia landform). Raft the Luxi River, watch the hanging-coffin performance, and sleep in a Taoist-culture guesthouse — join morning chanting and learn Baduanjin qigong. Best as 1 day or 1 night; ~1.5 hr from Shangrao; pairs beautifully with Wangxian Valley as a "double immortal" route.

Sanqingshan · World Heritage Hiking

Both UNESCO World Natural Heritage and Global Geopark: granite pillars plus ~4 km of skywalks — Jiangxi's most famous hike. Take the cable car and do the loop (easy), or hike the full Nanqingyuan trail (challenging); sunrise stays available on the mountain. ~2 hr from Shangrao.

Guifeng · UNESCO Global Geopark

In Yiyang County, "every peak a tortoise" — quirky red Danxia formations, part of the Longhushan-Guifeng World Heritage. The easiest of the three: gentle paths, boat + walking combos, ideal for families and seniors. Half a day; ~1 hr from Shangrao; often combined with Longhushan in one day.
