Wangxian Valley (望仙谷)

In Shangrao's Guangxin District, an entire wooden town clings to the canyon cliffs — at night it glows like a real-life Miyazaki film. Canyon boardwalks and waterfalls by day, cliffside guesthouses and lights after dark. Tickets ~¥120-160 (timed entry), allow 4-6 hrs; the evening session is the most photogenic.

Gexian Village Resort (葛仙村)

A Taoist "immortal" theme resort at the foot of Gexian Mountain in Yanshan County. Tang-style streets, hanfu rentals, heritage craft workshops, and a signature night light show with fireworks/drone performances. Take the cable car up Gexian Mountain for a temple visit and cloud views. Combined ticket ~¥150-190; stay one night to enjoy the night show.

Sanqingshan (三清山)

UNESCO World Natural Heritage and Global Geopark with granite peaks. Icons: "Python Rises" and "Goddess of the East", plus ~4,000 m of skywalks. Round-trip cable car ~¥125, entry ¥120-135. Moderate hiking; your best chances for cloud seas and sunrise are spring and after winter rains.

Guifeng (龟峰)

In Yiyang County — part of the Longhushan-Guifeng World Heritage and a UNESCO Global Geopark. Tortoise-shaped Danxia rocks, easy paths, boat + walk combos. Great half-day trip, tickets ~¥80.

Longhu Mountain (龙虎山)

Birthplace of Zhengyi Taoism in neighboring Yingtan (~1.5 hr from Shangrao). Raft the Luxi River, watch the cliff-coffin show, and stay overnight in a Taoist-culture guesthouse (see Nearby Destinations).
